Combined Companies Maintain Private Ownership and Local Management

Clean Power L.L.C., Wisconsin’s largest commercial cleaning contractor, has announced the acquisition of Sun Cleaning Group L.L.C., a leading provider of full-service commercial and janitorial services headquartered in Milwaukee.

Sun Cleaning Group, providing services under the names of Sun Cleaning Systems and Rex Clean, has over 625 employees. With this acquisition, CleanPower will have over 2,225 employees providing daily janitorial services at over 600 locations statewide.

The acquisition will open new markets for CleanPower, including central Wisconsin. In addition, Sun Cleaning Group has solid experience in specialty services, such as construction clean up, pressure washing, debris removal and demolition. Sun also brings special expertise in schools and manufacturing environments that will enhance the level of service the combined company can provide in the many communities they currently serve.

“This is an ideal acquisition for us,” said Jeffrey Packee, President and COO of CleanPower and Sun Cleaning Group. “We are two strong regional companies that together can maintain a competitive edge in the Wisconsin market. National and international companies have begun to venture into the state. We are locally-based and manage our services from our offices throughout the state.”

“Our current strategy is to focus our resources in green cleaning, sustainability, new technologies and efficiencies and new specialty service offerings,” continued Packee.

Steve Balistreri, owner of Sun Cleaning Group becomes Executive Vice President of Sun Cleaning Group and will help guide the transition and focus on strategic alliances and acquisitions. Sun Cleaning Group is comprised of Sun Cleaning Systems operating in Metro Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha and Rex Clean operating in Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Green Bay, the Fox Valley and Central Wisconsin. All companies will continue to operate under these names as affiliates of CleanPower L.L.C., part of Marsden Holding.
